Writers Hint at Upcoming Deadpool 3 Story

Finally things are coming to shape for the Merc with the Mouth as writers hint at what Deadpool 3 story will be like after all these years. Pulling through the Fox/Disney Merger and the peak of this global pandemic, Deadpool 3 is finally, truly happening sooner rather than later. Immediately after this successful string of movies, Ryan Reynolds gave the great news that they are finally working on the third movie.

Writers Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese got to share information about the fourth-wall breaker. In a report from MovieWeb, the writers told about what the third movie will be like. The disclosure happened during the promotion of their newest movie Spider Head. Writer Reese said:

It’s a wonderful opportunity for fish-out-of-water. Deadpool is a lunatic at the center of a movie. To drop a lunatic into a very sane world, it’s straight butter. It’s going to be really fun.

Without a doubt, Deadpool will be again questioning everyone’s existence and wreaking havoc to the universe he is in. Whether Fox or Marvel, now it’s just the same world. But, we are sure he will throw some self-aware wisecracks here and there in the movie. Either pertaining to the merger, maybe about Doctor Strange, and even finally getting the rest of the X-Men to his movies. Particularly, one who sheathes and unsheathes claws. Even though Hugh Jackman has time and again said he is not in Deadpool, Reynolds have time and again courted him to come in even for just a split second.

Director Shawn Levy takes part of Reynolds’ zeal. According to Comicbook.com, Levy has said:

I’m not going to say where and how, but I absolutely will confirm my intention and determination to be the lucky son of a bitch who puts those two magnificent gods in the same movie together. That will happen and it will be me.

Being the fish-out-of-the-water could also mean that Deadpool is out of the old bowl venturing into the bigger blue that is Disney Marvel Studios. Deadpool and Deadpool 2 has a budget total of $168M where the sequel is given almost twice as much as the first. From $58M to $110M, together the two movies raked in $1.57M in the worldwide box office. Not bad for the character who quips while ending up regenerating his baby parts.

Fans are understandably excited and positively anticipating the threequel. The last movie was released 2018. Four years and still waiting, at least it won’t be another four years until we get to see Wade Wilson and Leslie Uggams’ Blind Al banter again. Everything is worth the wait because everything is connected.
