Paramount Plus means to revive the 1980s psychological thriller Fatal Attraction for streaming with Wanda De Jesus in cast. Here, she joins Lizzy Caplan, Joshua Jackson and Amanda Peet, along with Alyssa Jirrels, Toby Huss, Reno Wilson and Brian Goodman.
Recently, Deadline reports her upcoming character in the series as well as the series’ focus delving into the psychological aspects of the story. Fatal Attraction Paramount Plus series has Alexandra Cunningham as the showrunner who co-wrote the story with Kevin J. Hynes.
In previous projects, Wanda De Jesus was Milagros Castro in 2020 TV series yA. Also, she was in Gentefied as Delfina. Notably, De Jesus got her Imagen Best Actress win from her work in Almost a Woman in 2003.

Meanwhile, in Fatal Attraction Paramount Plus series, she is Marcella Leyva. The character, Leyva is a lawyer closely working within the political circuit who is most comfortable with her job as District Attorney. Furthermore, Leyva will be the boss of Jackson’s role, Dan.
The movie, 1987 Fatal Attraction starred Michael Douglas and Glenn Close with Adrian Lyne as the director. Story wise, it focused on a married man’s weekend affair. Eventually, the encounter led to the woman developing an obsession towards him. Ultimately, it was a highly controversial movie that grossed $320M from a $14M budget.
The upcoming revival series will delve into the themes of marriage and infidelity. There, the conflicts and dynamics between characters will be updated into the contemporary setting. Definitely, there will be a focus on personality disorders as well as women empowerment. At the time of the theatrical release, the psychological thriller evoked a different kind of fear. Particularly, it was not a usual story of betrayal in marriage. Back then, people found the movie to be unique and thought-provoking.
