In a report from Variety, Julia Garner is apparently a favorite among dozens of actresses to portray Madonna in the Universal Pictures biopic.
The screening process must really be rigorous to cast the music icon and image legend who is Madonna. Of course, the multi-award winning singer, songwriter and producer will be writing and directing her own biopic under Universal Pictures. As expected, she will be looking for someone who can capture the essence of her music for the world to see. As the icon has the reputation of constant self-reinvention, her performances are always as physically demanding as they’re musically impressive.

It’s possible that the miniseries gave the production team a glimpse of a different kind of “Material Girl”. The sass and moves that can be malleable enough to be tweaked into Madonna’s personality.
