Previously recurring as Mark Blaine aka Chillblaine, Jon Cor is now a regular in the upcoming Season 9 of The CW’s The Flash. The upcoming season is also the series finale, wrapping up Grant Gustin’s run as the phenomenal Scarlet Speedster.
Apparently, the story will explore Chillblaine’s arc from villain to hero in the series finale. Viewers will remember Cor’s character as one of the baddies in previous seasons until he fell in love with Danielle Panabaker’s Frost. Deadline reports his character’s elevation from recurring to regular for The Flash finale season.

Speaking of the object of Chillblaine’s affection, the last season also featured the demise of Panabaker’s Caitlin Snow or Frost. However, in a scene in the latter episode, Jon Cor’s Blaine meets a character off-frame with the voice of Panabaker. Showrunner Eric Wallace confirms:
That is Danielle Panabaker’s voice, so some version of Danielle Panabaker’s coming out of that box. The question is, which one? Let the debate begin because there’s many ways to go.
By many ways, the showrunner could mean any iteration of Caitlin throughout the series over the years. Plus, there is also a possibility of having a new version of Caitlin for the finale season. Literally, ‘many ways to go’. But definitely, the show will still have Panabaker on board.
Likewise, coming back for the finale of the series are Candace Patton as Iris West-Allen, Danielle Nicolet as Cecile Horton, Kayla Compton as Allegra Garcia, Brandon McKnight as Chester P. Runk. Of course, Gustin will don the red suit for the final season and Jesse L. Martin will also be there as his second father figure Detective Joe West.

Cor got is first acting nomination from Leo Awards last year. The actor gained the attention for his work on 2020’s Cross Country Christmas. Which put him as one of the candidates for Best Supporting Performance by a Male in a Television Movie that year.
Many of his past works are movies for television feature such as Love at Cedar Creek, The Valentine Competition, and Baby Monitor Murders.
Bonanza Productions in association with Berlanti Productions and Warner Bros. Television brings the finale season to the small screen. Greg Berlanti and Sarah Schechter are the series executive producers. The Flash is The CW series featuring several characters from the DC. Finally, The Flash is among the last series that spun off from Stephen Amell’s Arrow.
