The Batman Sequel Talks Confirmed By Director Matt Reeves

The Batman isn’t even out yet but it seems that a sequel is already being talked about by the director himself Matt Reeves.

With the current developments on the story behind the production of the movie, it is quite promising to note that this is not the one and only Batman movie that Robert Pattinson will star in.

We have reported a few days ago on how he loves the “Death in the Family” story of Batman where he lost his then Robin Jason Todd.

The story would fit into the style Pattinson and Reeves are vying for.

We have yet to see Pattinson’s Batman but current audience feedback in social media reflects that the movie is very promising.

Hinging on the aspect of Batman as the greatest detective, there are a number of villains that he could be facing in that line as well.

Since they are focusing on Batman being the greatest detective, Matt Reeves can very well bring Batman home to his roots: Detective Comics.

Matt Reeves replies to a potential sequel query:

I hope so, we’ll see. Yeah, I mean for sure. I mean look. You don’t make number one as if there’s going to be a number two. You have to make number one as if you are swinging for the fences and it has to be a movie that stands and lives on its own. But I really believe in what we’ve done and I’d be excited to tell more stories… We are already telling other stories in the streaming space, we’re doing stuff on HBO Max, we’re doing a Penguin show with Colin [Farrell], which is gonna be super cool. And we’re working on some other stuff, too, but we have started talking about another movie.

That last part of the statement opened so many possibilities.

He did say they have projects ongoing after this movie.

Ones that will feature the Penguin and another featuring Catwoman.

This is building on how this world is coming together for Pattinson’s vision of Batman as well.

Also, the Unseen Arkham Prisoner is starting to look like a Pandora’s box of speculations.

DC is known for character study movies and perhaps this is the first time we can also see something like that for the Batman.

From the Batman movie, who knows what other challenges and trials the Dark Knight will face next.
