Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s producing partner Hiram Garcia says that plans for Superman v Black Adam is more than just one fight or movie. Just a few hours from now, The Rock’s DC character debuts into cinemas worldwide. The ruthless Teth-Adam wreaks havoc in the world as he executes his idea of justice. Not even Justice Society of America can stop him.
Johnson has repeatedly Black-Adam-challenged any DC character further stating that no one ‘on this planet’ can stop him. Which alludes to someone from another planet can. And we don’t mean Martian the Manhunter. The Rock even went out and practically said his Black Adam movie welcomes Superman home.

True that comic book fans have long debated who would win between the two superhumans. Although, the two aren’t the only pairings that called a lot of arguments on the floor. Still, it’s a great time to be a fan of the comic books knowing that these characters get to be on the silver screen. And, for Black Adam v Superman, there is more to expect than just one scene or movie. According to a report from Variety, Garcia said that there is more than just one fight on their plans. He said:
It’s never been about a one off or just about a fight. No, it’s about so much more than that. We really want to craft a long-form of storytelling and show that these two characters exist in the same universe and are going to have to deal with each other often, either on the same or opposite sides.
Black Adam has indeed had his time as a villain and as an anti-hero in the comics. Recent pages however, lean toward the anti-hero depiction of the character. Garcia adds:
Hopefully they’re going to clash at some point, but it’s not just about a ‘one fight’ situation. That was never our dream. That does not reward the fans. Fans want to feel a journey between these guys knowing that these guys exist in the same universe.
It’s important to note that Garcia also focuses on what the fans would deserve. It echoes Johnson’s assurance that the new DC Films era will be listening to the fans.

For some countries, Black Adam already arrived in theaters last October 19th. Everyone is watching the first impressions and reviews of early audiences to the film. For most fans, the movie will be the baseline or comparative point for all movies under the new regime. Black Adam will definitely set the tone and feel of upcoming projects especially those after Shazam 2, Aquaman 2 and The Flash.
Johnson’s ultimate point in becoming Black Adam is so that he can bring Henry Cavill’s Superman back. Once again he states:
I have been listening and I’ve been wanting to address fans for years. I’ve been waiting for someone to step up and address the fans and say, ‘Hey, we hear you’. So finally, after many months turned into many years, we ended up with what we ended up at. And the whole goal and intention now is to this new era, new time. Now let’s build out.
