The upcoming Star Wars Celebration event has Disney Plus series Tales of the Jedi added to the franchise panel this May 26th.

A report from movieweb.com cites that the website of the Star Wars Celebration event this May 26th showed a scheduled panel for the animated series. The announcement was removed by the site but later was added back. The panel is to be hosted by Amy Ratcliffe with Dave Filoni as a special guest.

Tales of the Jedi will be the newest animated series from the Star Wars franchise. It will be an addition to the animated shows The Clone Wars and Star Wars: Visions. With Dave Filoni as part of the panel, fans positively welcome the new addition to the science-fiction-fantasy franchise from Lucasfilm.

No further details are available pertaining to the developing series. However, it’s possible that the timeline for the series will be during the prime years of the Jedi Order. The series will be an anthology most likely an account of various notable Jedi knights or pivotal moments in the history of the order.

The Star Wars franchise has been doing well with its streaming service track. The franchise is mainly revived by The Mandalorian starring Pedro Pascal as Din Jarin and the absolutely lovable Grogu. The spinoff series The Book Of Boba Fett had mixed to good reviews. However, the episodes that had the high rating in the season had little or no Fett in it. Despite that point though, the series still did fairly well with the fans.

Upcoming projects for the Star Wars is, of course, the much-awaited Obi-Wan Kenobi series. The series about the Jedi Master and return of Darth Vader starts streaming the next day of the celebration event, May 27th. It will also premiere with two episodes to boot. The movie set for theatrical release is Patty Jenkins’ Rogue Squadron. The live action series for Disney Plus has Andor and Ahsoka on the pipeline.

The studio is developing projects focused on the lore and stories before the time of Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens. Much of the projects being developed explore lives, culture and history of the Star Wars world. This is simply because there is still so much to tell. George Lucas’ Star Wars has undeniably grown to have a life of its own.

For now, Star Wars fans revel in the projects that bring happy nostalgia and hopefully the saga’s future will be laid out soon.
