Ray Stevenson of History Channel’s Vikings has been cast as a villain in the upcoming Star Wars Ahsoka series.
Disney+ is now approaching production of its new Star Wars series focusing on Ahsoka Tano.
Ahsoka is a fan favorite Jedi portrayed by Rosario Dawson.
Her story is reported to revolve around her search for Grand Admiral Thrawn.
Just about two weeks ago, we welcomed Scott Pilgrim’s Elizabeth Winstead into the list of actors.
Even though her character is kept under wraps we know of other actors confirmed for the show.
Number 1 is Hayden Christensen who is to reprise his role as Anakin Skywalker.
Then, Natasha Liu Bordizzo (The Voyeurs’ Julia) will play Sabine Wren.
Exactly last week, we also added Lars Mikkelsen as Grand Admiral Thrawn to the list.

Apparently, Ray Stevenson is not new to the franchise.
He is Gar Saxon’s voice in the third season of Star Wars Rebels.
Gar Saxon would be a leading contender for a villainous character in Ahsoka.
If only Ursa did not shoot him dead after losing to Sabine Wren in Rebels.
The character is brutal, ruthless and an aggressive Mandalorian.
Saxon swore loyalty to the Empire after Maul’s defeat.
The creators could change his death to be able to write Gar Saxon in the series.
It would have been so interesting though to see a live action Mandalorian in the Imperial forces.

Much like Winstead, Stevenson’s villainous character is still secret.
Judging by the progress of information shared, perhaps next week we will learn something new about the series.
In the mean time, we can look at the list of characters under the Imperial forces in the Star Wars Rebels for clues.
One character remains after checking Imperial officers that survived or perished after the Rebels:
Based on the series, it isn’t clear whether Thrawn had Lyste executed.
Kallus framed him as a traitor in the Imperial ranks with the code name Fulcrum.
But there was doubt among their higher officers if it was true.
In fact, Thrawn came into the conclusion that Kallus is indeed Fulcrum.
Perhaps this angle in the story can progress into Yogar Lyste’s rise in the ranks.
As Ahsoka searches for Thrawn, it is likely he is still with a trusted team of Imperial Officers.
Yogar Lyste could be one of them.
Fueled by Lyste’s experience on the betrayal, he would be more cunning in succeeding Imperial missions.
He would be loyal to Thrawn.
Thus, would be instrumental in preventing Ahsoka from finding the Grand Admiral.

With this announcement, Disney Plus’ Ahsoka series is well under way.
By the end of April, Ahsoka series of Disney+ is due to begin with the complete cast.
Dave Filoni and Jon Favreau have been proving themselves as great stewards to George Lucas’ world.
We will see more of it soon enough through Ahsoka’s eyes.
