She-Hulk Co-Star Tim Roth Updates Series Production

In a recent interview for the movie Sundown, upcoming She-Hulk series co-actor Tim Roth gave some updates on the production.

Time stamp is 7:18 in the podcast On Tape,  Dempsey Pillot asks Tim Roth about She-Hulk.

To which, he answered they indeed have finished filming and the series is in post-production stage.

Coming very soon in Disney+, She-Hulk is a new comedy series starring Tatiana Maslany as the titular role.

Jennifer Walters also known as She-Hulk is a lawyer specializing in legal cases that involve superhumans.

Kat Coiro and Anu Valia will direct She-Hulk with Jessica Gao as the head writer.

First Appearance

Writer Stan Lee and artist John Buscema created She-Hulk (Jennifer Walters).

She first appeared in The Savage She-Hulk #1 in February 1980.

After an injury, Jennifer Walters received an emergency blood transfusion from Bruce Banner and acquired milder attributes of the Hulk.

Even in the “coming soon” page of Disney+, you will see Mark Ruffalo’s Hulk and Tim Roth’s Abomination listed.

Tim Roth coming back for his portrayal of the Abomination is expected after that fight scene in Shang-Chi.

However, as he is still listed as a villain in most comic book storylines, we wonder what kind of weight his role will carry into the series.

I can only speculate that since Bruce will have to indeed transfuse blood into his cousin, they will have to study the effects it had with Blonsky.

It could give them an insight to tone down the violent and brute tendencies the procedure can bring to the recipient.

Thirteen years past, Tim Roth still accepted the opportunity to come back into Marvel as the Abomination.

When asked whether he will be in his human form or of anything he may be able to tease in the interview, Roth replied:

Oh yeah he’s there! We had a blast yeah! We shot that. I think they are still working on it. (Post production of the series)

He even went on to share:

Tatiana, who played She-Hulk, she is just outstanding. She is a powerhouse.

Release Date?

Roth immediately discloses that he doesn’t know when exactly it is coming out, emphasizing

“I actually don’t know, haven’t got a clue.”

But follows it up with:

“You’ll see a bit of everything in that one.”

What do we get from this?

Whether human form or as the Abomination, he did not actually make that clear.

Given the work required to include the effects of Abomination, we will have to wait and see if the series budget can cover the brutes appearance.

What is actually “a bit of everything”?

He may be talking about theme or genre or twist in plotlines.

We can look at previous post-production timeframes from filming wrap ups to give us a working gauge for the release date.

Also, considering the upcoming definite releases of movies and tv series, we can check for upcoming “free time”.

Disney+ page definitely cites 2022 as the release schedule for She-Hulk and we are left with three quarters of the year.

My hunch? It will be released around October.

That is just because monsters and a cool strong female lawyer character would be great personas for an upcoming costume party.
