Tessa Thompson reveals her new Valkyrie costume for Thor: Love and Thunder.
The costume redesign was posted on Twitter, revealing an exciting new look to the character.
Costume designer, Mayes C. Rubeo, seems to have drawn inspiration from Thor’s look.
This new look could also reflect the decision Thor made at the end of Avengers: Endgame, when he bestowed upon Valkyrie the title of King of Asgard.
Rumors began to circulate after a leaked poster, which director Taika Waititi attempted to squash immediately.
Thor: Love and Thunder will mark Tessa’s third appearance as Valkyrie.
The actress previously appeared in Thor: Ragnarok and Avengers: Endgame.
Shaping up to be a hit, Thor: Love and Thunder is the fourth Thor movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).

What will Valkyrie’s new role, as ruler of New Asgard, entail?
How will her new responsibilities play into the story of Thor: Love and Thunder?
Will Valkyrie oppose or facilitate Jane Foster’s role as Goddess of Thunder?
As the new King of New Asgard, Valkyrie will have many new enemies and responsibilities.
The way in which she handles each one will govern the opinions of the Asgardians (those who still remain), and mold her reign into the future, possibly affecting her future role in the MCU.
It will, no doubt, be interesting to see how Valkyrie has and will develop the Asgardians’ new home.
Now that they have established their place on Midgard (Earth), how much will their interactions with the people of Midgard affect the future of their culture?
Not only will the presence of humans affect the lives of the Asgardians, but vice versa.
How much of Asgard’s knowledge will be shared?

That will ultimately be left for Valkyrie to decide, but there’s bound to be a few who will allow that knowledge to leak into the surrounding populace.
Whether purposely or by accident.
With this new insight we’ve learned, will Earth science achieve even further advancements than those of Wakanda?
Only time will tell.
