The videogame RoboCop: Rogue City calls Peter Weller back to his titular cyborg role as Alex Murphy aka RoboCop. The RoboCop franchise adds a project to its long list in a form of a videogame. This time, they will bring back Weller in the story as he lends his voice to the main character of the game.
A report from SFFGazette posts the game already has a trailer that delivers considerable amount of violence.
Also, it told of the actor’s return as the main character of the story.
For the younger generation of video gamers, they may have encountered the 2003 first-person shooter that Titus Interactive developed and published. However, that game had quite unfavorable reviews from the lack of in-level save option, repetitive music, slow movement, to poor controls and targeting system.

Hopefully, the new videogame delivers better gameplay as the presence of original actor Peter Weller promises authenticity. The feel of the movies so to speak. Given that the videogame will have its own story, we wonder if this can inspire a continuation of the movies. Perhaps, we will just have to wait and see.

Welcome to Detroit; crime runs rampant as the city lies on the edge of ruin, people fighting for scraps as others live extravagant lives of luxury. Control of the Detroit Police Department is given to the Omni Consumer Products corporation in an attempt to restore order. You are that solution, RoboCop, a cyborg tasked with protecting the city. The triumphant return of RoboCop wouldn’t feel right without the man who brought so much life into the role, and we’re excited to reveal that Peter Weller will be performing voiceover work on the game.

The RoboCop: Rogue City videogame with the voice of Peter Weller is very promising. We do hope this could be the videogame that brings excitement and interest back to the franchise. RoboCop looks really good, the other characters? Well, they can look better. What is important though is whether the game plays well and if it captures the feel it’s supposed to.
We’ll all need to check back next year and see if RoboCop delivered.
