Movie, season 2, miniseries or special feature, Oscar Isaac is talking to Marvel Studios about Moon Knight’s future in the MCU. The 6-episode series that introduced Isaac as the Avatar of The Moon God Khonshu had an over-all successful run. People learned about the new character in the MCU and the presence of other powerful beings in its storyline.
While the series generated some mixed reactions from fans of the comics as well as those new to the character, it still merits continuation. Many are hoping that there is more to the stories of Marc Spector, Steven Grant, and Jake Lockley. Especially for Lockley. Some argue that the best part of the series was during Spector or Grant’s black outs which were all Lockley’s time.

Season 2 may just be the most logical choice. However, the development of other ways to present a character’s story is now available for Moon Knight. His next appearance could very well be any among a movie, a follow up season, a miniseries or a special feature. Much like the well-commended special Halloween feature of Michael Giacchino’s Werewolf By Night starring Gael García Bernal, Laura Donnelly, and Harriet Sansom Harris.
Comicbookmovie.com reports that Marvel Studios and Isaac are in an active discourse as to the future of the character. This is great news as the studio intends to pick up the character for more stories to tell. And they are enjoining the inputs of the one with the titular role. It’s very reassuring that the actor who will portray the role has a hand at the conceptualization of how the story will proceed. Isaac shares:
There have been some specific conversations. They were pleasant. The spilling of the details is that there are no details. We don’t know [if there will be a second season], but we’re talking about it. Truthfully, it’s about the story. ‘Is there a story worth telling? Is it interesting? Will I feel embarrassed about it when it comes out?
The last part of the statement made us think if there have been actors in the past who felt embarrassed about their involvement before. We’re still thinking about which ones they could be.

Isaac also adds the possibility of belonging to a team in the future. Many fans have been speculating that he will be the character to open the stories for Midnight Sons. Everything and everyone is almost available for the team already. So, why not? In Isaac’s words:
So, it’s just about, ‘Is there something worth pouring everything you have into?’ And with Moon Knight, that was very much about that. It’s creating a structure so that every morning when the alarm went off, I couldn’t wait to get to the set because I wanted to try something different.
Whether [Isaac’s Moon Knight returns] in a group thing or maybe a great idea comes around for a season two or if it’s a standalone film or whatever it could be,I think it’s just approaching it in that kind of way. It’s the story first.
And now we wonder what story would they focus on? We do hope they address the fact that the other two of his personality is not aware of the third completely. They both have theories about a third but not with solid proof. Of course, there is a third but how would they also deal with the fact that the third is still an avatar of the moon god?
