The series One Punch Man features the superhero named Saitama. His powers is his ability to beat opponents with just a single punch. Due to his power, he grows bored without an opponent that can face him punch-to-punch.
Justin Lin is widely known for work in the blockbuster franchise Fast and Furious. His recent bow-out to the concluding movies due to creative differences still leaves him busy as one of the executive producers. His most recent credit as director is from the pilot episode of this year’s The Endgame of NBC starring Deadpool’s Morena Baccarin.
In turn, Rosenberg and Pinkner have worked together as writers for other previous projects. These include: Jumanji: The Next Level, Venom, Salamander, Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle and Zoo. Their most recent tandem project is an episode for the upcoming television series entitled: Citadel. Furthermore, Pinkner has tapped his keyboard for The Amazing Spider-Man 2 and Fringe. As executive producers, Rosenberg and Pinkner has experience in live-action adaptation of a Japanese animated series. This was Netflix’s 2021 Cowboy Bebop.

Movie plans are still under wraps as acquisition has just come to a conclusion. At this point, Lin rolls up his sleeves with Rosenberg and Pinkner for the live action adaptation. In addition, Avi Arad and Ari Arad of Arad Productions are also producers of the film.
Many, if not close to 100% of the avid fans of Saitama, are either on the fence or highly skeptical on this endeavor. For one thing, the track record of anime turned live action hasn’t been very successful. And that includes Cowboy Bebop. For now, at least we will all have to wait and see.
Production is to begin by end of 2022.
