Obi Wan Kenobi Series releases its first character poster boasting Vivien Lyra Blair as the young Princess Leia Organa.
In a post from comicbookmovie.com, the newest Star Wars series streaming on Disney Plus released its first character poster. Specifically, the official poster features the welcome delightful surprise that is Vivien Lyra Blair being little Princess Leia Organa.
Three episodes in and we are all going gaga over the adorable, spunky, strong, seemingly force-sensitive and decisive little girl. Much like Grogu is to Din Djarin, he is little, he is force sensitive and in all aspects adorable as he is young. Din takes it upon himself to keep Grogu safe and bring him to his kind. Jimmy Smits’ Bail Organa sent Obi Wan to save Leia and bring her back to her family. Leia is Obi Wan’s Grogu!

And what father, rather grandfather, dynamic Obi Wan is developing towards Princess Leia Organa is evident in the second episode.
Despite the parallelism of character, we also have to remember that Star Wars have utilized a lot of parallelisms in their stories. There are similarities but there are distinct differences as well. Where Anakin is parallel to Luke, in the respect of being the one that can tip the balance of the Force, the difference is their end point: Sith to that of Jedi.
Each character may have similarities but the experiences they go through are very different. Episode 1 points out that Young Princess Leia Organa is every bit as important as Young Luke Skywalker. They have equal characteristics especially in terms of Force potential. However, the twins have different paths through their journey. We know where they both were led to from the original trilogy. But in the end, they found themselves in their paths.

Vivien Lyra Blair being little Princess Leia Organa is quite possibly one of the perfectly casted characters in Star Wars history. She absolutely captured Leia’s sass. Carrie Fisher would have been proud, applauding her performance no less. Ewan McGregor’s Obi Wan Kenobi is always speechless when Leia starts to speak her mind.
Knowing that in young Leia’s future Obi Wan is more focused on Luke, it’s nice that the series focused on her. This alone explains how she knows Obi Wan Kenobi is her only hope when she recorded that hologram, inserted it to R2D2 and sent it to a course to Tatooine. It also explains how relaxed she was as she was kept in that cell where Luke broke in to save her. She has experience on being abducted before! Cheeky Leia!
