Nightwing Movie: Dylan O’Brien Of Maze Runner Eyed

DC Extended Universe is wanting to make a Nightwing movie, and they have Maze Runner actor Dylan O’Brien in mind.

Nightwing fans may not have to wait that long anymore.

Bruce Wayne, better known as Batman, adopted Dick Grayson as his son.

Dick, in effect, learns the art of combat then becomes Robin.

As Grayson grew, he rose up to the character of Nightwing.

He clearly states on Nightwing (Volume 2) #75 that he is happy as an officer, a boyfriend to Barbara, the adopted son of Bruce Wayne and the last living member of the Amazing Flying Graysons. He is Nightwing.

There was a time in the comics that he worked as Batman himself.

Because the Crime Syndicate revealed Dick Grayson as the Nightwing, he went undercover as a spy with the codename: Agent 37.

After which, he once again assumed his persona as Nightwing.

Several versions of Dick Grayson or Nightwing exist from comics to animated features to previous live-action appearances.

As we speak, DCEU is busy with more than a handful of projects.

Black Adam, The Flash, Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, and Shazam! Fury of the Gods are all currently in Post Production.

Batgirl is filming.

And as far as we know, Blue Beetle is in Pre-Production.

The Nightwing movie can be anywhere after these projects.

Recent developments report that Dylan O’Brien is being eyed as the Nightwing and it can only mean that filming is almost here.

Robert Pattinson’s Batman is close to the release date.

One wonders if this Nightwing will be related to the newest entry to the caped crusader’s line up of movies.

Come to think of it, Dylan O’Brien is not new to roles that are physically demanding.

His previous acting experience include Teen Wolf (2011-2017), Maze Runner (2014-2018), Deepwater Horizon (2016), American Assassin (2017) and Love and Monsters (2020).

Furthermore, O’Brien is also busy with projects for this year, namely: The Outfit, Not Okay and The Vanishings at Caddo Lake.

Naturally, it is when studios are keen on casting that shooting the film is likely down the road.

However, whether or not DCEU finally casts him as the Nightwing for the film still remains to be seen.
