The 42-second teaser shows Jenna Ortega’s Wednesday fixing her hair to her iconic braids. In the shadows, she prepares herself then comes toward the spotlight straightening her dress’ collar. In the final seconds, Thing, the most-trusted right hand of the family appears on her left shoulder.
Tim Burton will deliver the series focusing on Wednesday’s years in the Nevermore Academy. The family fantasy, comedy is also a mystery series where Wednesday solves the mystery involving her parents. Here, Wednesday also discovers that she has growing psychic abilities and she means to utilize it to great extent.

Joining Ortega in the cast is former Wednesday Addams actress herself, Christina Ricci in an undisclosed role. Deadline reports, Ricci will play a new role in the series not an older version of titular character. Interestingly, Catherine Zeta-Jones is Morticia Addams with Luis Guzman as her husband Gomez. Taking the role of Pugsley, Wednesday’s brother is Isaac Ordonez. In addition, actors portraying roles apart from the Addams family include Thora Birch, Gwendoline Christie, Jamie McShane, Emma Myers, Joy Sunday, Riki Lindhome and many others.
With much anticipation, Tim Burton directed all 8 episodes created by Alfred Gough and Miles Millar. However, the series is based on characters that Charles Addams originally created. Included in the writing credits are Kayla Alpert, April Blair and Matt Lambert.
