It’s truly a great time to be a comic book fan these days. Fans get to see their favorite characters brought to live action in the most marvelous way. Yeah, I said it. Marvel allows fans to marvel in the fact that live-action version of their favorite characters are now possible. About a decade ago, not a lot of people would think this is remotely possible.

However, MCU has shown the Darkhold, delved into chaos magic, featured time variants, very soon the multiverse, and possibly a celestial’s judgement. Marvel is even tackling ancient Egyptian gods and goddesses without much difficulty in convincing its canonicity. Marvel successfully eased the audience into it ever since they introduced the Mjolnir in an end credit scene in Iron Man 2. If Norse gods are in the MCU, what’s stopping gods of other cultures to be in it too?

At this point, in the MCU, anything can happen.

This includes the supernatural world where vampires, werewolves and such creatures thrive. The current MCU phase is practically scuba diving in it.

With Blade in Werewolf By Night, it doesn’t automatically mean Mahershala Ali’s Blade will be the one featured in it. Some even toy with the idea that Wesley Snipes could be in it but it also is unlikely. However, it would be great to have him sort of be the veteran version passing the title on to a younger Blade. Then again, Blade isn’t like Black Knight that gets the persona from generation to generation.

The presence of Man-Thing is all but official. Nevertheless, more and more sites are led to believe Dr. Theodore “Ted” Sallis will finally appear in the MCU. His appearance will represent the combination of science and magic. Something that once again Thor introduced as he explained it to Jane Foster in his first movie. The Earth actually has both in existence since time immemorial. It’s just that when it cannot be explained by science, magic became something that is feared. And when humans fear, they recoil and do everything possible to avoid it.

October can’t come sooner enough.
