A welcome reason to celebrate is the news that Marvel’s Loki Season 2 is soon in production for Disney Plus.
Who wouldn’t want to see Tom Hiddleston back as the God of Mischief again? He was left in Season 1 at quite a conundrum as the Sacred Timeline is broken. What could be next?
Productionlist.com has posted that Loki Season 2 Series has a shoot date on June 6, 2022 in London, United Kingdom. The Project Summary reads:
Loki, a trickster and shapeshifter, pops up throughout human history as unlikely influencer on historical events.

MCU’s Loki Season 1 jumped timelines during the course of its episodes. They also covered time loops in the series. With the finale showing Loki losing Sylvie after she kills He Who Remains, it opens a lot of possibilities. At the same time, it leaves so many questions.
Will we see Loki go though all branches and start pruning the Sacred Timeline back to how it was? That is going to be a lot of work considering the rate the branches were developing during the season finale. More importantly, what happens to Alligator Loki?!
The post lists Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead as directors. While Trish Stanard as Line Producer, Autumn Durald is the Cinematographer. Kate Herron together with Marvel President Kevin Feige are the Producers. While Michael Waldron is listed as writer, the position is now over to Eric Martin. Of course, under the cast list is none other than Tom Hiddleston.
Loki is one of two Disney Plus Marvel series that officially has a second season. The other series is the animated What If…? Many now say that through Loki Season 2 story twists can actually introduce other Marvel characters. What else could this series be but a springboard for future MCU movies or features? Well apart from that, it’s still a story about the God of Mischief.

We do wonder if he will eventually get to contact Thor? And since there is a possibility of reconnecting with Thor, we wonder if Mighty Thor can also be swooping in for a quick scene. With Thor: Love and Thunder coming up with its villain Gorr the God Butcher, giving the villain more gods to butcher might just not be a good idea. Then again, we all know Loki has a way with words and spectacular flair. It’s just that he has his sacred plate full these days so maybe a small talk with his brother may be too much for now.
Loki Season 2 begins production a month before Thor: Love and Thunder premieres. What a time to be alive brothers and sisters!
