Marvel Studios Release Werewolf By Night Trailer

Marvel Studios just released official trailer for the upcoming Disney Plus Halloween Special Werewolf By Night. Fresh from D23 happenings, Marvel Entertainment Channel on YouTube has the official trailer. And, it pleases fans rooting for something new from the studio.

First off, the most readily noticeable aspect is the black-and-white form of the special. Immediately, viewers know this isn’t a regular MCU show. As it’s a Halloween Special for Disney Plus, Werewolf By Night presents several characters from the darker side of the MCU. Ultimately, the whole trailer gave off the combination of classic Twilight Zone television series and spy games such as Clue, Resistance and, well yes, Werewolf.

Disney Plus describes the upcoming special:

On a dark and somber night, a secret cabal of monster hunters emerge from the shadows and gather at the foreboding Bloodstone Temple following the death of their leader. In a strange and macabre memorial to the leader’s life, the attendees are thrust into a mysterious and deadly competition for a powerful relic—a hunt that will ultimately bring them face to face with a dangerous monster.

Right off the bat, a certain event, presumably the leader’s death, brings together the characters into a dark mansion. Also, assumed to be the Bloodstone Temple. The narrator immediately says:

This Halloween, you can’t escape the shock, the terror of Werewolf By Night.

At once, Verusa speaks next in what seems to be a ‘briefing’ as to why the people are there.

Tonight, it is every hunter for themselves.

By the end of the introduction, Ulysses wishes the participants luck:

Goodluck! I will be rotting for you!

Again, Verusa speaks over the trailer saying:

But one of you is a monster. Masquerading as one of our own. I can’t wait to find out what breed of evil you are.

Then, a succession of creep-fest clips follow with Verusa prodding:

You’ll want to see this darling!

Audience will see Jack pleading:

Please don’t do this!

Then Jovan screams:

Death is coming for you!

Another flash of fight and attack clips that quickly shows various pivotal points in the story including a glimpse of Man-Thing. Finally, Elsa Bloodstone appears in the last seconds of the trailer witnessing a monstrous transformation. In the end, the classic film seems to burn as the trailer ends with the Disney Plus logo.

The channel uploaded the video with the following description that states the special’s release date on Disney Plus:

There’s no escaping the night.
