Beginning with Paul Rudd as Scott Lang happily walking around a friendly neighborhood. He loves the feeling of being an Avenger even though he is an ex-con. The initial punchline: people think he is Spider-Man.

The trailer then shows Kathryn Newton as his daughter Cassie displaying her ingenuity in creating a device that sends a signal to the Quantum Realm. Bad idea.
Initial audience to this demonstration with Lang are Evangeline Lilly as Hope Van Dyne, Michelle Pfeiffer as Janet Van Dyne, and Michael Douglas as Dr. Hank Pym. All heck breaks loose and everyone gets sucked into the Quantum Realm. Janet tells them about the secret world underneath the one they know. Noticing the change in her mother, Hope asks what she is so afraid of. Then cuts to Janet saying there is something she hasn’t told them. As the group treks around, scenes showing marvelous environment overwhelms them.
Then Jonathan Majors appear as Kang the Conqueror saying the place is not what they think it is. Kang poses his proposition of mutual benefit with the Ant-Man saying:
I can get you home. And, give you more time, if you’d help me. So, what’s it gonna be Ant-Man?

Interestingly, Bill Murray appears in a few seconds in the trailer for a role that is still under wraps. Moreover, fans speculate he is someone who has had a history with Janet during the time she got stuck in the Quantum Realm years ago.
Consequently, Ant-Man and the Wasp are now on a mission to get back home with their family. Somehow, they are in a situation that will need Kang’s help. Ultimately, the task that Kang wants them to do in exchange is a step towards his bigger plan.
Using Elton John’s Goodbye Yellow Brick Road for the background music of the trailer fits perfectly. Indeed, it does give the feeling that the entire family went all Dorothy not being in Kansas anymore. Marvel Studios’ newest trailer accomplished its mission to get the viewers’ attention. It surely got ours. The movie arrives in theaters on February 17, 2023.
