Keanu Reeves Likes Alex Winter For More Bill And Ted

Keanu Reeves recently revealed he’d like to work with Alex Winter again and again, more Bill and Ted adventures. Particularly, at the red carpet premiere for the animated movie DC League of Super-Pets, Entertainment Tonight asked Reeves the question that made him name Winter.

Amidst the frenzy of the premiere, Reeves still got to accommodate the quick question. This made a bodacious fandom jump for joy. A total of three movies are under the Bill and Ted franchise that stars Reeves and Winter. The original movie dates back in February 1989 entitled: Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure. The movie was a total hit with a worldwide box office record of $40M from a $10M budget. Next, the movie Bill & Ted’s Bogus Journey in July 1991. The sequel did a little over it’s target break even point. It has a box office record of $37.5M from a $20M production budget.

Almost 3 decades later, Bill & Ted Face the Music came in August 2020 that was considered a hit as a Premium Video On Demand – PVOD. Even though it only had $6M on the worldwide box office from a $25M production budget, the year was unique because the pandemic highly affected the movie industry. Tying the release of the movie to theaters as well as PVOD, ticket sales no longer directly measure the actual performance of movies especially during that time. In fact, Forbes published an article in September 2020 citing the third movie of the franchise as “…A Surprise Summer Hit”.

It’s not a secret in Hollywood that Reeves is a great actor to work with. Many previous co-actors of the Matrix and John Wick star have nothing but delightful stories about their time on set with him. Thus, the world can only expect that he and Winter have deep-rooted friendship through the years from the first movie of the franchise itself.
