Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes has released its cast update of Tributes and Mentors for the upcoming prequel. The roster lists tributes and mentors from the 10th Hunger Games, which is 62 years prior to the original trilogy. Among them are Irene Boehm, Cooper Dillon, Luna Kuse, Kjell Brutscheidt, Dimitri Abold, Athena Strates, Dakota Shapiro, George Somner and Vaughan Reilly.
Deadline has the list for Lionsgate’s upcoming movie adaptation of author Suzanne Collins’ latest Hunger Games book. The story features a young idealistic Coriolanus Snow portrayed by Tom Blyth. Snow stands as the last hope of his lineage as his family has fallen from grace in the Capitol after a war. He faces the challenge of mentoring Lucy Gray Baird portrayed by Rachel Zegler from District 12. As Lucy Gray sang during the reaping ceremony, she captivated the audience and commanded their attention. There, Snow found a way to turn the tables to his favor. Throughout the games they go through situations leading them to decisions that ultimately reveal their fates.

The actors for the 10th Hunger Games Tributes are Irene Boehm as Lamina for District 7; Cooper Dillon as Mizzen for District 4; Luna Kuse plays Brandy from District 10; Kjell Brutscheidt is Tanner from District 10; Dimitri Abold plays Reaper from District 11.
Other actors and their characters are Athena Strates who will play Persephone Price, the mentor to Mizzen. For the members of the Covey, they have Dakota Shapiro as Billy Taupe, George Somner as Spruce, and Vaughan Reilly who plays Maude Ivory.
The Hunger Games franchise is one of the most successful series to date. The movies adapted Collins’ novels of the same name. Furthermore, it made actress Jennifer Lawrence as Katniss Everdeen a household name with the Girl on Fire and her song The Hanging Tree by James Newton Howard launched infinite fan edits online. Thus, Lionsgate keeps the franchise popularity by securing the new novel instalment for movie adaptation.

Francis Lawrence returns to direct and this time to produce with Nina Jacobson and Brad Simpson. Author Suzanne Collins, Tim Palen and Jim Miller are executive producers of the prequel.
