With two major DCEU movies rumored getting re-shoots to include Superman, Henry Cavill in Man Of Steel 2 might just actually happen. If circulating rumors are actually true, Cavill has Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson to thank as well. Word on the grapevine says that Henry Cavill has been shooting additional scenes for Aquaman 2 and The Flash. This does not even count the speculation that Cavill’s Superman is actually in Johnson’s Black Adam movie.
Certainly, Cavill has a lot on his Kryptonian plate as giantfreakinrobot also posts some undeniable clues. Nearly a decade has passed since the first Man of Steel starring Henry Cavill as Superman. Fans have pushed for the sequel for years. Now, especially after the change in leadership back in Warner Bros. Discovery, things may really be getting more crystal.

Not only did Johnson commend Cavill’s portrayal of Superman in the DCEU, during the SDCC he particularly said
Henry is a buddy and he is a phenomenal Superman. Henry Cavill is the Superman of our generation, with respect to other Supermans in the past. Every time I see him, we have some tequila and I would say, ‘That’s Superman!’”
This gives a clue that the two actors have quite a connection beyond their profession. Johnson on the business side of the movie industry would know about how to amp up his own projects. He would know how to make it better. He even followed this statement with:
Danny Garcia and his sister has a passion-advocate for Henry Cavill and his career for a very very long time. so, the reason I say all that is because you got a lot of people who advocate on Henry’s behalf and root for him to win. And I do root for him to win. At the end of the day, he is a phenomenal Superman.
This aligns with the claim that Johnson insisted at Cavill’s return as Superman behind closed doors with Warner Bros. Discovery. Word now is that the studio is developing Man of Steel 2.

It really boggles the mind how long Man of Steel 2 is taking to actually come true. Henry Cavill is just there. Sure he is quite busy now but this is a Superman sequel. Like what Johnson said, he is the Superman of our generation. Hopefully, after Witcher, Enola Holmes, Argylle, Squadron 42, Highlander and The Rosie Project, WBD can sit him down and talk about the sequel. Once and for all.
