Gotham Knights Series For The CW Reveals Its First Cast Members

The CW reveals its first cast members Fallon Smythe, Tyler DiChiara, Olivia Rose Keegan, Navia Robinson, and Oscar Morgan as regulars to its new Gotham Knights series.

Variety reports Smythe and DiChiara will star in the pilot. ComicBookMovie posts the addition of Keegan, Robinson and Morgan to the cast.

The pilot is going to be one hour long and will focus on the wake of Bruce Wayne’s murder.

A group composed of Batman’s son and children of Batman’s enemies work together in order to clear their names after getting framed for killing the Dark Knight.

As the group works to clear their name, they find themselves taking on the responsibility of keeping Gotham safe.

They, in effect, fill Batman’s shoes and become the new generation of Gotham Knights.

Natalie Abrams, James Stoteraux and Chad Fiveash will write the Gotham Knights pilot.  Executive Producers of the show are Stoteraux and Fiveash together with Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter and David Madden of Berlanti Productions.

Danny Cannon is at the helm to direct and executive produce the pilot for Warner Bros. Television.

Although writers of “Gotham Knights” are also with Batwoman, it’s specifically not a spin-off of the Batwoman series. The series is also separate from the “Gotham Knights” upcoming video game.

It’d be interesting how Gotham comes to be when the Caped Crusader no longer is alive to save the day.

From the description, it seems that a new generation of heroes will answer the Bat signal.
