Dune Part Two is completing the cast with Florence Pugh on the brink of signing for the role of Princess Irulan Corrino.
Dune is the epic science fiction movie that Denis Villeneuve directed and co-wrote with Jon Spaihts, and Eric Roth.
The 2021 film is the first of the two-part movie that is an adaptation of Frank Herbert’s 1965 novel. The story focuses on Paul Atreides as his family battles for the desert planet Arrakis.
Dune Part Two will cover the remaining part of the novel.
Legendary Entertainment initially secured the production for the first movie. There was a condition where they will only allow production of the sequel if the first movie is a successful venture.
The financial performance of Dune essentially secured the production for Dune Part Two. With a production budget of $165M, the movie grossed a World Wide Box Office record of $400M.
