Heartwarming Korean Drama series Extraordinary Attorney Woo may get a US version according to JTBC News this month. In an article posted at Korea Joong Ang Daily, ENA’s drama about a genius lawyer who belongs to the autistic spectrum is receiving proposals for remakes from the United States.
The production company, AStory, of the drama has a representative who said:
We have received a proposal for a remake from the United States, and the production company is currently reviewing the offer.

Extraordinary Attorney Woo has 16 episodes and recently just celebrated the cast and crew’s wrap party. Currently, it’s on its 7th episode with the 8th to air tomorrow, Thursday, July 21.
The drama focuses on Attorney Woo Young Woo portrayed by Park Eun Bin of Do You Like Brahms? and King’s Affection. Young Woo goes through her day to day life juggling personal and professional struggles. There, she is a rookie attorney of one of the most reputable law firms in Korea, the Hanbada. Every episode, the show features a new case. In every case, it opens doors for Young Woo to strive and thrive in the world she moves in.
The drama is currently reaching midpoint of the storyline. Whereas, the series is getting into the main plot points like the secrets of Young Woo’s father. In the office, Young Woo is now trying to resolve her confusion and determine whether she likes her office co-worker Lee Jun-Ho portrayed by Kang Tae Oh.
Also, the show is streamed on Netflix with new episodes on Wednesdays and Thursdays. What’s more is that the drama is successful in maintaining viewer interest. In fact, it enjoys remarkable increase in ratings in every episode. Therefore, it’s no wonder that the drama has caught the attention of US studios for their version of the story.

Even more particularly, the American medical drama series The Good Doctor that is on its 6th season is also based on a 2013 Korean drama Good Doctor. Joo Won plays the character Park Shi-On who is a genius doctor also within the autism spectrum. His role is remade into Freddie Highmore’s Doctor Shaun Murphy for the US adaptation that started airing 2017.
