Eugene Cordero Is Now A Regular in MCU’s Loki Season 2

Marvel Studio‘s Loki Season 2 elevates Eugene Cordero as a series regular from Casey to Hunter K-5E. As an update for the upcoming series, Cordero is now a regular in Loki 2. Centering on the God of Mischief’s adventures with the TVA, Cordero now is Hunter K-5E or a variant of sorts. Marvel has no comment after Deadline’s inquiry from the newest series development.

Loki is the first live-action series to get the second season green light from Marvel Studios. The Disney Plus series successfully laid the foundation for the time variants concept in the MCU. With the Season 1 finale, the show was able to establish the weakening of the universe barriers. This is because Loki and Sylvie broke the Sacred Timeline. Tom Hiddleston and Sophia Di Martino comes back to the series to reprise their roles as well as Owen Wilson.

Apparently, Cordero will be rejoining the series as well. However, his character could be one of two. Or in the case of time variants, more than one? The actor appeared in Loki Season 1 in three episodes as Casey for 2 and Hunter K-5E for 1. In season 2 though, he is on the list for a total of 6 episodes.

Eugene Cordero is not only an actor in the industry. Also, he is a writer and producer with several projects under his belt over the years. With 122 credits as an actor, his 2022 projects include Star Trek: Lower Decks, Central Park, Little Demon, Tuca & Bertie, Easter Sunday, Lightning Wolves, Big City Greens and Close Enough. Aside from Loki on Disney Plus in 2021, he also portrayed roles in Tacoma FD, The Great North, 10-Year-Old Tom, Star Trek: Discovery Logs, and No Activity.

Interestingly he co-wrote, co-starred and produced a short comedy entitled “Aswang Next Door” back in 2017 for Philadelphia Asian American Film Festival. A story about a young man who thinks he’s a Filipino monster who eats fetuses and just wanted to inform his very pregnant neighbor. One of his latest projects, Easter Sunday, also showed his Philippine roots through the movie that starred popular stand up comedian Jo Koy and Tia Carrere.

While there is no added details as to the plot and premise of the upcoming MCU’s Loki Season 2, fans expect the season to address the broken Sacred Timeline. Is there a chance they will ever correct or repair the damage done? At the rate that Loki is going, it will not be a surprise if the god will do more harm than remedy.
