Disney Plus Marvel Series Emmy Nominations

The Television Academy announced this year’s Primetime Emmy Nominations and Disney Plus Marvel Series have 19 Nominations. Specifically, these are for What If…?, Hawkeye, Loki and Moon Knight. Notably, Disney Plus also has other nominations from its umbrella studios that together with the Marvel nominees, the company raked in at total of 147.

Nevertheless, these numbers are very well deserved considering the company is pretty much a neophyte in the streaming service. Apparently, Disney Plus holds its ground against HBO/HBO Max and Netflix. While the young streaming service has already a wide array of classic titles in its library, it still has a wide room for improvement in its projects. Now, comparing it to the long-standing HBO and Netflix, the House of Mouse’s streaming content is pretty much on its fast track to catch up.

From 2021, Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe took advantage of the Disney Plus launch. Following the performance of WandaVision and The Falcon and The Winter Soldier last year, the four titles did make their presence known. This year, Marvel made a total of 94 submissions from the four series. Check out the ones that got the Emmy nominations:

Ultimately, we do wish there were more names on the nominated list. Personally, I wished Oscar Isaac to have his nomination for Moon Knight. However, we are happy that the late Chadwick Boseman is nominated for his voice performance in What If…? Of course we are rooting for all of the Marvel nominees to win. But, contenders for the award are also formidable this year.

Who are you rooting for?
