In true James Gunn fashion, he takes to his new mastodon account to know what would fans like to see in next DC Studios feature projects. Perhaps, the new co-CEO is taking Dwayne Johnson’s description that the new DC regime ‘listens to fans’ seriously and literally. No harm in that. In fact, it’s a great way to test the waters for audience reaction. Some suggestions are actually quite promising under the comments of the post.
Of course, Gunn himself was on the lookout for any replies that mention Batmite. In the end, even though there were, he sort of laments there were not enough.
DC Studios Sound Off Fan Wishes For Next Feature Projects
Gunn posted the following not a day ago:
Which DC character/s who hasn’t yet had their own film do you want to see most on the big screen?
Immediately a queue of answers followed featuring a slew of characters old and new. Even queries as to actors and suggested fan casts found its way to the thread. In an article from thedirect, notable suggestions came featuring Batgirl, Nightwing, and Martian Manhunter. Also, there are suggestions for Plastic Man, Poison Ivy, Blue Beetle and Booster Gold.
While Green Lantern already had a movie starring Ryan Reynolds, the character still got a suggestion in the thread. Some also wanted a big screen feature for the Green Arrow and Black Canary. Other suggestions include Apokolips, Miss Martian and The Question.
Judging by the fan reactions, there is no doubt that DC fans have so much anticipation for the studios future output.

As of now, the titles coming up after Johnson’s Black Adam are Shazam: Fury of the Gods, Blue Beetle, and Aquaman and The Lost Kingdom. Interestingly, there aren’t any mention of The Flash in recent talks with the new heads of the new Warner Bros Discovery DC Studios. Definitely, that movie will hit the theaters. David Zaslav himself has said that it’s a good movie. It fits their design for the future of DC Studios. They need that movie to show in theaters.
Gunn’s sound off in mastodon hopefully gives birth to what comes next for DC Studios. With him and Peter Safran overseeing what goes on and what will go on, it’s really something to look forward to.
