Another confirmation that Kingpin and Daredevil reunion happens in Echo is from the series’ costume designer’s resume.
The Direct brings to light a now inaccessible information from costume designer Stacy Caballero. After the release of Disney Plus Hawkeye series and premiere of Spider-Man: No Way Home in December last year, this is quite juicy news. Fans have been at the end of their seats waiting for the impending inevitable meet up of the two characters.
The reacquired Marvel Netflix shows are slowly making their way into the MCU. Critically acclaimed actors Vincent D’Onofrio‘s Kingpin and Charlie Cox‘s Matt Murdock (non-hero persona of Daredevil) are already in. The next step is each other’s characters facing up. Now we have the upcoming Echo series, starring Alaqua Cox, preparing that stage.

It is still unknown as to how much of the Netflix show’s storyline will be official in the MCU or if at all. One thing is certain though, that Daredevil will always be in the way of Kingpin’s plans. The Hawkeye series established Echo’s relationship to Wilson Fisk aka Kingpin. It also paved the way for her to realize how broad Fisk’s hold is in the city. She also realizes how much of her past is untrue as well as Fisk’s involvement to the death of her father-figure.
Perhaps a revenge arc is the primary story for Echo in the her series. As she foils Fisk’s attempt to gain more power and a tighter hold onto the city, she may eventually cross paths with Daredevil. She may exchange punches and kicks at first but later they may realize they are both on the same mission. The mission to bring Kingpin to justice.
Having Matt Murdock aka Daredevil in the Echo series is in line with her character in the comics. As Maya Lopez, Echo has a connection with the blind hero. Maya was initially sent by Kingpin to convince Murdock that Kingpin is a good person. Maya and Matt developed a relationship as a result of that mission. Later on, in their alternate personalities, Echo fought Daredevil to protect Kingpin. Echo proved to be a worthy opponent to Daredevil that she almost killed him but stopped only because she found out he is also Matt Murdock. Matt told her of the truth about Wilson Fisk. And this is the reason why she put a bullet in Fisk’s head.

This story is depicted in the Hawkeye series. For Matt Murdock to be in the Echo series, there will have to be a different reason why she will come in contact with one of the very good lawyers of Hell’s Kitchen.
Considering that Alaqua Cox, Vincent D’Onofrio (the resume had a typo error, sorry Vincent) and Charlie Cox are on Stacy Caballero’s resume under the same project heading, this is indicative of how heavily involved the two men are in the series’ story.
If both Kingpin and Daredevil appears on Echo, it could be the series that also prepares the much-awaited Daredevil stream. Of course, we cannot wait.
