Christian Bale Hunts Gods As Gorr: The God Butcher In the upcoming Thor Love And Thunder. This does not bode well for Asgard’s heroes.
If one character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) were in more danger from this character than others, it would be Thor.
Thor: Love and Thunder is, of course, not the first comic-based film in which Christian Bale has starred.
So at least Christian Bale has some past experience to draw upon in Thor: Love And Thunder.
However, Christian Bale’s introduction into the MCU, as a villain, is a departure from the part he played in Christopher Nolan’s Dark Knight trilogy, but he is not new to playing a darker role.
With that said, if Christian Bale’s portrayal of Patrick Bateman, in American Psycho, is any indication of his strengths in playing something other than a superhero, we are in for a treat!
What Does Gorr: The God Butcher’s Presence Mean For The Characters?

As has been reported, one important aspect of Thor: Love and Thunder, is that Natalie Portman’s character, Jane Foster, will become the new Thor.
Moreover, It’s not far-fetched to believe that not only will Thor be in danger of Gorr’s inclinations, but Jane will also gain his scrutiny.
Drawing inspiration from The Mighty Thor comics, co-writers Taika Waititi and Jennifer Kaytin Robinson, could conceivably have Jane Foster battling cancer as she attempts to control her newfound powers.
As we know, Kevin Feige does like to pick and choose what he takes from the comics.
It would be possible that in the MCU Jane’s cancer came from the fact that her body absorbed the power of the Reality stone in Thor: The Dark World (Thor: The Second Thor).
There have got to be consequences for something like that, right?

The motivation for many villains is revenge, and Gorr: The God Butcher is no different.
If, despite my fervent prayers to the Gods that protect me and the people around me, my entire family perished, then I could imagine my anger manifesting in the need to exact revenge.
Not to mention the crisis of faith!
Gorr has spent thousands of years getting his revenge against any and all Gods he encounters.
Look out Asgard and Mount Olympus!
In Thor: Love and Thunder, we can assume that Gorr: The God Butcher, seeks to continue his vengeance, and who is at stake of receiving his wrath is a mighty auspicious list.
Thor: Love and Thunder is set to release on July 8, 2022.
