BBC Radio 1 has just uploaded their interview with Hemsworth and it covered his movie insights and even breaking Hugh Jackman’s record for Wolverine.
On the movie’s development and production, Hemsworth tells about the enjoyable times they did and recalls Director Waititi to be perpetually laughing over the recording. They mentioned that the movie seemed to have been conceptualized by ten-year olds with their toys. Hemsworth affirms:
It was just him (Taika Waititi) in his kind of wackiest and most insane in a beautiful, beautiful way trying, experimenting and exploring all sorts of ideas and concepts. and everyone was on board and along for the ride and it was a hell of a ride. As only he could do.
Chris Hemsworth Might Just Like To Be In Deadpool 3 As Thor
Being one of three surviving original Avengers of the MCU, Chris Hemsworth’s Thor is in a time of reflection. In the official trailer, Korg who is voiced by Director Taika Waititi himself, has said that the character is embarking on an epic journey. He works with Star-Lord and the Guardians of the Galaxy, then comes face to face with his old flame Jane. Jane who is now the Mighty Thor. With King Valkyrie’s help they cross the galaxy in search for answers. Eventually, he encounters Gorr the God Butcher leading to his long pondered question about his true purpose of existence.
As for working with his co-stars, he nothing but praise for actress Natalie Portman as the Mighty Thor. He even tells about a moment that she asked him about handling Mjolnir but he also said:
She (Natalie Portman) had a pretty good hand on in all herself. She was fantastic and worked her butt off and came in incredible shape. And made us all, have to pick up our own game.
Plumb asked Chris Hemsworth he would be keen on taking on the role of Thor for more than 6 years and compete with Hugh Jackman’s 16-year record with Wolverine. He has taken the role of Thor for so long that he could be in the running for the record of portraying a character in the longest period of time. They did not however, mention that the record now officially belongs to Tobey Maguire and Willem Dafoe at 19 years and 225 days.

Hemsworth plays along with the idea and said:
You’ve got a point. It’s only been 6 years and I’ve come this far. To turn back now would just be a waste.
On the possibility of Jackman appearing on Deadpool 3 making it longer than 16 years, Hemsworth replied:
Gonna make some calls and make sure that doesn’t happen. I’ll put myself in Deadpool instead. That will be the offering you know? See if that passes.
Now wouldn’t that be interesting to see the God of Thunder in the Merc’s third movie? What say you Ryan Reynolds?
Thor: Love and Thunder shows in cinemas July 8, 2022.
