Pixar and Marvel star Chris Evans is actually rooting for a role in Star Wars and A Little Shop Of Horrors.
The latest animated action adventure movie Lightyear is now on theaters starring Chris Evans. In line with the promotion of the movie, Evans is on MTV News in an interview with Josh Horowitz. The conversation fully viewable on YouTube. It covered the actor’s take on anxiety, how Pixar movies get viewers, his friendship with Sebastian Stan and Anthony Mackie. Further, Evans shared he may also be open to come back as Johnny Storm aka Human Torch in the MCU.
Although it’s currently unlikely, he isn’t closing his doors to portraying the role of the super soldier again. Mainly because his experience as Captain America is already too perfect and precious for him. As for Johnny Storm however, he would like to come back to the role and give Johnny “his day.”

Josh Horowitz, pointed out that the actor is steadily securing quadrants within the Disney conglomerate. With Captain America for Marvel Studios and now Buzz Lightyear for Pixar, what could be next for the actor? When Horowitz mentioned he has no Star Wars and no musicals, Evans jumped into is answer with a frustrated exclamation:
Yeah! Why is there no Star Wars?! God, would I love to be in Star Wars! God! I mean I would do anything. Even if I’d be just a Stormtrooper, I’d be thrilled. …I’ll take a Wookie though, it’s fine. Just put me in it, I’ll take it.
I would love Star Wars and musicals. I’m dying for those things to happen.
Further sharing his yearning for Little Shop of Horrors, he said:
I was supposed to do “Little Shop Of Horrors” a couple of years ago. And then, you know, COVID happened and there were budget issues. And I think the director might have jumped off the project. But that was a heartbreaker. That’s my favorite musical.

Apparently, Evans wanted the opportunity for Little Shop of Horrors so much that he even thought to post his audition video. He proudly said:
I even thought about posting my audition. Just to stir the pot. Just to see if I could poke Warner Bros. a little bit. A little bit to see if maybe, the first time ever you can get some fan reactions to let them know. Come on guys! Make this thing!
