Chloe Bennet becomes part of FXX’s Dave Season 3 cast as Robyn, a photographer whom the lead character meets while on tour. Variety reports this production development for Dave, which arrives months after the FXX series received its green light for a third season.
Dave is a series based on the real-life experiences of rapper Dave “Lil Dicky” Burd. The rapper is the series’ co-creator with Jeff Schaffer who also joins Burd as executive producers. Together with them as executive producers are Saladin K. Patterson, Ben Sinclair, Luvh Rakhe, Kevin Hart and Hartbeat Productions, Scooter Braun, Greg Mottola, Marty Bowen, Mike Hertz and SB Projects’ James Shin and Scott Manson. FX Productions produce the series.

Andrew Santino, GaTa, Taylor Misiak, Travis Bennett and Christine Ko returns for the third season as well as others. The series has been quite successful in showing the struggles of starting-out artists in a comedic perspective. There is still somewhat of a reality to the theme while keeping things layered with a bit of cynicism and then pure fun. Episodes cover issues on race, anxiety, sexuality on top of music. Chloe Bennet starred in Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. for its entire seasons as Daisy Johnson aka Skye. On the latter number of seasons, Johnson became one of the Inhumans named Quake. Other acting credits for Bennet include lending her voice to Shelby in The Silk Road Rally, then Yi in both 2019 Abominable and upcoming TV series Abominable and the Invisible City. She will also appear in Married by Mistake which is still currently filming. Previous works include Valley Girl and 5 Years Apart.
We do wonder how Robyn will figure into the rapping journey of Lil Dicky. In about a year, we will find out.
