An episode of the upcoming The Mandalorian Season 3 has Bryce Dallace Howard’s name on it again as its Director.
The Hollywood Reporter confirms the Jurassic World: Dominion actress will be directing an episode of The Mandalorian again.
As fans of the Dave Filoni and Jon Favreau series know, Howard has directed episodes before. She helmed not one but two episodes of The Mandalorian and even Chapter 5: The Return of the Mandalorian for The Book of Boba Fett.

Her first episode for the series starring Pedro Pascal is Chapter 4: Sanctuary. This is the episode where Din Djarin teams up with an ex-soldier to protect a farming village from raiders. It had an above average rating of 7.8 as reflected on IMDb. Howard’s second episode for the series is Chapter 11: The Heiress which fans went gaga over Katie Sackhoff fulfilling their dreams. The episode is very well commended by critics and audiences alike. The episode showing Bo Katan Kryze’s live action debut had a high 8.8 rating on IMDb.
Judging by Howard’s episode in the series The Book of Boba Fett, she very well knows Din Djarin as The Mandalorian. Bringing her eyes through the lens in The Book of Boba Fett for the episode that featured Djarin shows the signature style of the comparatively new character in the Star Wars saga.
We suspect that the upcoming series episode she will handle will involve Bo Katan. Since Howard was the director that introduced the Mandalorian Royalty, it would be just fitting for her to direct the episode that addresses her worthiness to her birthright. In the last episode of the second season, the story implies the arc about the Dark Saber. Bo Katan has to win it from Din to prove to the Mandalorians she is worthy to lead them. At the same time, Din Djarin has to re-establish himself as a Mandalorian after he was banished because he removed his helmet.
Season 3 of The Mandalorian has very pressing matters after the overarching story of Grogu. Din Djarin’s vow to care for the Child and deliver him to his kind is accomplished. In the end, particularly with the episode from Fett, they discover that Din is Grogu’s kind.
Even though Grogu has chosen to be with Din, there still is the the Child’s life. Added to this, is the question of being a Mandalorian for Din as well as, is he supposed to lead them now? The project has wrapped its shoot and is now in post-production phase.
