Nine-season medical comedy-drama series Scrubs may possibly get a revival according to show creator Bill Lawrence.
Deadline reports that in the recent ATX TV Festival, Scrubs was among the panel press conference last Sunday. The panel included creator Bill Lawrence with actors Zach Braff, Donald Faison, Sarah Chalke, John C. McGinley, Judy Reyes and Neil Flynn.
The creator of the series was especially grateful that there are still people who care about the series. Scrubs ran a total of 9 seasons from October 2, 2001, to March 17, 2010. Now, over 12 years since the final television broadcast, the cast are still happy to be with the creator to speak for the show.

Naturally, people are asking if there is a reboot or a revival. Also, if ever there is, will it be with the original cast?
Donald Faison, actor who portrays Christopher Turk in the show answered:
Here’s the deal: I think we all want a reboot and want to work together again but it couldn’t be a full season. Maybe like a movie or something we could shoot in a few months. With everything Bill is doing now, he’s never going to be free again. If he finds the time, we’ll do it.
While Faison is amenable to the idea of a reboot or the opportunity to work together again, he still gave the ball to Lawrence on whether it can happen or not. To which, Lawrence adds:
We’re gonna do it because people still care about it and we enjoy spending time with each other.
The show focuses on the point of view of Sacred Heart Hospital interns John “JD” Dorian, the character that Zach Braff portrayed. Dorian and Turk are best friends in the story that went from interns to resident doctors. By the end of the eighth season, Dorian and Sarah Chalke’s Eliott Reid become a couple. At that point, Turk was promoted to chief of surgery at Sacred Heart.

On the ninth season, the point of view shifts to one of the new interns of the hospital. Dorian and Turk are part of the Winston University medical school faculty. In turn, their students are interns to the newly rebuilt Sacred Heart.
A revival will be welcome but we have to agree that a movie catching up with the characters is the best way to go. It will be like getting to know how your friends are doing after all that has happened over the years. Some fans have also shared that it would be nice if they can pay tribute to the late Sam Lloyd as he has also been with the show as the hospital lawyer named Ted Buckland. The comic relief he provided is still well-remembered by fans.
