In an article from cbr.com, a tweet from artist Andy Park SDCC 4604 @andyparkart features the characters in a poster. It made the rounds at the convention and now getting well-deserved attention online.
Kathryn Newton will portray Cassie Lang. The character is the daughter of Paul Rudd’s Scott Lang who is with Evaneline Lilly as Hope Van Dyne – the Wasp. Jonathan Majors’ Kang the Conqueror appears behind the heroes in the poster where they all seem to be back in the quantum realm.

Story details are still under wraps for the movie Peyton Reed directed. Joining Rudd, Lilly, Newton and Majors as cast are returning actors and characters Michael Douglas as Hank Pym and Michelle Pfeiffer as Janet van Dyne.
In the comics, Cassie Lang is Cassandra Eleanore Lang. Daughter of Scott Lang who lost his custody to his ex-wife. Nevertheless, this did not stop Cassie from adoring her father and frequently visiting him from time to time. Eventually in his death, Cassie retreated and grew distant from her mother and her stepfather. Then, she learned about the Los Angeles-based young heroes known as the Runaways. Eventually she sought to become a full member of the Young Avengers and she did. While in the group, she took part in Captain America’s resistance to the Superhero Registration Act. She has taken on different aliases such as Stature, Giant Girl and Ant-Girl.
Of course, there will be deviations from the comics into the live-action MCU. What’s interesting is the potential of Young Avengers into the MCU with her introduction. Marvel has introduced a number of younger set of characters taking on the mantle of the original Avengers. With all the announcements that Marvel officially made in the SDCC, Young Avengers isn’t all that impossible to develop for future projects.

Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania officially brings Kang the Conqueror into the movies. He first appeared in Loki Season 1 as He Who Remains. Now, it’s evident that the events that proved detrimental to the Sacred Timeline placed the point where Ant-Man and the Wasp faces off a Kang on their path. We say “a Kang” because quite literally there is possibly infinite number of Kangs that now exist. Highly indicative of this is the announced Avengers: Kang Dynasty for Phase 5.
Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania arrives in theaters on Feb. 17, 2023. What do you think would Cassie bring into the team?
