Amazon continues working on the TV series adaptation of Fallout adding 3 actors, Kyle MacLachlan, Xelia Mendes-Jones, and Aaron Moten to cast. A report from Variety announces that the three actors join Ella Purnell and Walton Goggins. They have no added information as to which characters the actors will be portraying in the series.
The video game of the same name is a series delving into post-apocalyptic environment. The premise is that the future world is subject to threat of nuclear annihilation. The cities are laid waste from a 2077 nuclear war.

Multi-award winning and Prime Time Emmy nominee Kyle MacLachlan has 78 acting credits to his name. Widely known for his Paul Atreides in 1984 Dune, he has taken on various projects for the big and small screen as well as on stage. Also, he has made his mark on Twin Peaks as Dale Cooper / Dougie Jones in 2017. While his hilarious The Captain is indelible to viewers from How I Met Your Mother. Which, he reprised for the spinoff How I Met Your Father. Thus, he puts drama and comedy on the table with some theatrical flair.
However, Xelia Mendes-Jones is more of the newcomer from the trio with Fallout only being third of their acting projects. On the other hand, their recently concluded shoots for Havoc as Johnny likely gets them fresh off the action and thriller genres. Their mettle from such a project would already be a preparation for perhaps a hardened character from a post-nuclear-apocalyptic world.
Finally, Aaron Moten has a variety of projects done that he can pull to fit into the Fallout narrative. From comedy, mystery, action, thriller, drama, sci-fi and crime series, he’s treaded the steady path to acting versatility. With the broad number of characters depicted in the videogame, the possibilities are endless for his role assignment.

Geneva Robertson-Dworet and Graham Wagner will be the executive producers and co-showrunners of the series. Production starts later this year with Jonathan Nolan at the helm. Nolan is also credited as the series writer with Lisa Joy for undisclosed number of episodes. Joining Nolan and Joy as executive producers of the series are Geneva Robertson-Dworet, Graham Wagner, James Altman, Todd Howard and Athena Wickham. Meanwhile, Amazon Studios and Amazon Prime Video has the rights for distribution.
Based on the track of schedules, soonest release date is late 2023.
