Further, the announcement featured in comicbookmovie.com confirms the plot we reported a few months ago.
Amazon Prime has season 2 for Reacher in the works and they are focusing on the Bad Luck and Trouble novel from Lee Child. Season 2 logline remains:
When the members of Reacher’s old military unit start turning up dead, Reacher has just one thing on his mind—revenge.
Jack Reacher will utilize his skillset and experience even more for the second season. As members also consider a military unit to be a brotherhood, some may even consider it as their only family. In the upcoming season, Reacher takes the case very personally. However, given that he is also part of the unit, he may also be a target himself. If not the ultimate target itself.

In another Instagram post, a video featuring Alan Ritchson officially kicks off the production of the season 2 with the clapper. He then proceeds to show bigger and better sized clapper in line with how he wants viewers to anticipate the coming season. Bigger and better.
Based on the 2009 novel, the teaser description reads:
From a helicopter high above the California desert, a man is sent free-falling into the night. On the streets of Portland, Jack Reacher is pulled out of his wandering life and plunged into the heart of a conspiracy that is killing old friends . . . and the people he once trusted with his life.
Reacher is the ultimate loner—no phone, no ties, no address. But a woman from his old military unit has found him using a signal only the eight members of their elite team would know. Then she tells him a terrifying story about the brutal death of a man they both served with. Soon Reacher is reuniting with the survivors of his team, scrambling to unravel the sudden disappearance of two other comrades. But Reacher won’t give up—because in a world of bad luck and trouble, when someone targets Jack Reacher and his team, they’d better be ready for what comes right back at them.
