Amazon Prime Orders Season 3 Of Robbie Amell’s Upload

The Amazon Prime series Upload starring Robbie Amell, Andy Allo and Allegra Edwards gets its orders for Season 3.

The intriguing futuristic seemingly utopian comedy-mystery series Upload is greenlit for season 3. Specifically, the Amazon Prime series Upload features a world that has peak access to information and social media. So much so that a complex profile is created with all of a person’s memory and personality. Amidst the heavenly virtual afterlife that is in Lakeview, lead character Nathan Brown played by Robbie Amell finds himself in the middle of a conspiracy.

Deadline reports that Upload is renewed for Season 3 for Prime Video.

Will this be the Final Season for the series? That information is still under wraps but in the meantime, fans can rest assure that an upcoming season is truly happening. From what we have gathered, the third season will likely explore the “Download” feature of the Lakeview Afterlife service.

The comedy series has actually tickled the minds of viewers where technology that the show features is not actually that unbelievable. In fact, people can consider the technology as a realistic eventuality. The world wide web contains the information to actually create a profile depicting an individual.  From ad placements to algorithms to even preferences based on engagement, it’s eerily close to reality.

Finally, at the end of the second season they tackled the download and possible concept of artificial immortality through loading on a clone shell. There has got to be tens to hundreds of cultures and religions crossed and trampled by that breakthrough.

Upload follows Nathan come to terms about his afterlife being a digital copy of his dead self. He finds out that someone has killed him. He then enlists the help of his “Angel”, Nora. Nora is an app guide or assistant from the real world. She helps him find out the rest of his story. Season 1 has them developing feelings for each other.

Vernon Sanders, Amazon Head of Global TV said in a statement:

Upload has become a bonafide hit that continues to be one of the most watched comedy originals on Prime Video. The series continues to connect and provoke endless possibilities for the future of technology and humanity. With Greg’s distinct comedic take along with the dynamic creative team and talented actors, they’ve made a globally relevant series which we’re all incredibly proud to bring back another season for our customers.

Greg Daniels, creator (known for The Office, Parks and Recreation):

I’m thrilled to continue the story of Nathan and Nora and the other residents of Lakeview and near-future America as they try to have fun and do the right thing in both the real and virtual worlds.

Season 2 details:

Nathan (Robbie Amell) is at a crossroads in his (after) life: His ex-girlfriend Ingrid (Allegra Edwards) has unexpectedly arrived to Lakeview hoping to strengthen their relationship, but his heart still secretly yearns for his customer service angel, Nora (Andy Allo). Meanwhile, Nora is off the grid and involved with the anti-tech rebel group The Ludds. Season Two is packed with new near-future concepts, including Lakeview’s newest in-app digital baby program called prototykes and other satirical glimpses of the technological advances and headaches to come.

While Season 2 was three episodes shorter than the first Season, there is that great chance that Nathan’s story will have better delivery Season 3. Some scenes during the latest season felt a bit rushed in pursuing a point in the story. Hopefully, Season 3 fills all the gaps wonderfully.
