…a very encouraging company culture… We remain the custodians of this incredible almost 90-year-old filmmaking legacy but get to act with the energy and ambition of a startup.

It’s also a relief that lately, countries from around the world have started lifting certain restrictions.
Now, it’s possible that more moviegoers will return to the theatres to enjoy their favorite films.
Apart from Free Guy, 20th Century also mentioned that they have Avatar and Planet of the Apes lined up.
In fact, they are mandated to produce 10-plus movies just for streaming and like the other divisions, two or three theatrical movies a year.
This’ll start happening 2023 and onwards.
Free Guy stars Ryan Reynolds whom we all know as that 4th wall breaker of a Marvel character, Deadpool, with a recent project as a pilot in The Adam Project.
It would seem that Reynolds will be pretty busy with being the non-playable banker character under 20th Century.
The movie premiered 2021 with a World Wide Box Office record of $323.6M and Home Video performance of $13.5M.

Needless to say, Free Guy has a good financial standing and this precedence merited the sequel that is coming up.
President Steve Asbell even says
We’re awaiting a script that is days away. It’s a fantastic story.
Free Guy ended with being successful in saving his world through a game called “Free Life” using recovered code and go on to live their own lives.
A sequel will of course require the return of Ryan Reynolds for the story.
At present, no details are yet shared as to the plot and who will be the team behind the camera.
Ansell, however, stated that previous directors of their projects have already renewed deals.
It’s expected that they’ll first negotiate with the original team for the sequel.
Based on the president’s statement, we can even expect more than one Free Guy movie coming up.
